Tips For Credit Management

Not sure how to start the credit building process? No credit history? Short credit history? Low credit score? No SSN? Here are a few tips to help you get started:

  • Not every bank requires an SSN. There are already several US credit card banks in the market that issue cards to applicants who do not have a social security number.
  • Maybe you have just obtained your new SSN (Social Security number) but you haven’t established a complete credit record. At this time, you are not yet ready to be approved by mainstream credit card products. You can either utilize CitusCard or you can use a secured credit card to help you build up your credit.
  • The most basic thing after getting a credit card is to repay it on time. The easiest way to do this is to set up an automatic repayment method to prevent forgetting your due date! It’s also best and easiest to pay your card off in full each month (and avoid paying interest).
  • Do not apply for multiple credit cards at the same time in a short period of time. If there is a large number of hard pulls, the possibility of approving new cards will be reduced.
  • The overall credit history length and average credit length are quite important for the credit building process! Many people may have several different credit cards later, but think twice before closing them! Especially the first credit card.
